Safehouses Melina Lameé Foundation is an organization aiming to provide safe shelters for individuals from the LGBTIQ community and children who have been rejected by their families, forced to live on the streets where their lives are endangered due to intolerant societies. Our foundation strives to create a secure space for both groups to have a fresh start in society. We believe in improving the world and aiding those who need it the most, while simultaneously raising awareness for the rights and acceptance of the LGBTIQ community.

Role Description:
This is a hybrid role where you not only serve as Treasurer at the Safehouses Melina Lameé Foundation but also engage as a general volunteer. The role is based in Almelo and the surrounding area, with flexibility for some tasks remotely. As Treasurer, you are primarily responsible for financial administrative tasks, such as tracking financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.

As a general volunteer, you will be involved in various aspects of the foundation, including supporting events, facilitating activities, and promoting awareness about the rights and acceptance of the LGBTIQ community.

Qualifications:
- Willingness and enthusiasm to participate as a general volunteer in various tasks and events within the foundation.
- Versatility and the ability to effectively switch between financial tasks and broader volunteer responsibilities.
- A proactive and team-oriented approach to contribute to the overall goals of the foundation.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding financial procedures and reporting.
- Experience in identifying and evaluating grant opportunities relevant to the foundation's goals.
- Skill in crafting compelling grant applications and budgets.
- Thorough attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team dedicated to the safety of LGBTIQ individuals and children.

Preferably from the LGBTIQ community or those who are LGBTIQ-minded.
